taly's Sara Errani swept the singles and doubles Barcelona Open title on Sunday and dedicated the victory to compatriot Piermario Morosini, the footballer, who died on Saturday after collapsing in a game.

Errani, the seventh seed, took the singles title with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Slovakia third seed Dominika Cibulkova.

Then teamed up with Roberta Vinci to win the double, Flavia Pennetta and Francesca Schiavone routed 6-0, 6-2 in an all-Italian final.

"This tournament is for Piermario Morosini," said an emotional Errani.

"It was very hard. Have affected the pictures helped me a lot. It is amazing to happen that such things can be. It is to think really hard. It brings you back to reality and realize you can, many of the things we smell talk about in life are just pure nonsense.

"You have to enjoy every minute of life."
